On June 16, 2026, the 54th QMA China Members Meeting and the 2nd QMA China & Partners Meeting were successfully held at Bosch China’s headquarters in Shanghai. The event brought together about 70 representatives from 42 companies, including 24 QMA China member companies and 18 partner organizations. Participants represented key stakeholders across the automotive value chain, including vehicle manufacturers (OEMs), Tier-1 suppliers, technology companies, consulting firms, industry associations, and government-related institutions.

VDA QMC China would like to express its sincere appreciation to Bosch China, the host of this event, for its generous support. We would also like to thank all participants from QMA China member companies and partner organizations. Their active engagement and valuable contributions played a key role in the success of the meeting.
Addressing Industry Transformation and Shaping the Future of Quality Management
The morning session featured the 54th QMA China Members Meeting. Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Stefan Bücke, General Manager of VDA QMC China, and Mr. MIAO Lin, Chairman of QMA China and Vice President of Corporate & Mobility Quality Management & Sales Quality and Warranty at Bosch China. Mr. David XU, President of Bosch China, also welcomed the participants with a keynote address.
During the members’ meeting, VDA QMC China provided updates on key decisions from QMA Germany, organizational developments, as well as the latest progress regarding VDA standards and strategic initiatives. The session also facilitated discussions among member companies on future priorities and collaborative activities.
Bringing Together Industry Partners to Share Quality Management Best Practices
The afternoon session, the 2nd QMA China & Partners Meeting, further expanded the platform for exchange and collaboration by bringing together representatives from both the Chinese and German automotive ecosystems.
Industry experts delivered presentations covering quality innovation, supply chain quality management, intelligent mobility, and industry trends:
Mr. Marcos Mathias, Vice President of Quality Assurance at Volkswagen Anhui, presented “Quality Assurance as an Innovation Driver in Volkswagen Anhui,” demonstrating how quality management can serve as a key enabler of innovation and sustainable growth.
Mr. DING Yongfei, Deputy General Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering at Leapmotor, shared practical experiences in building a digital and transparent supply chain quality ecosystem.
Mr. WANG Bin, Vice President of Quality at Horizon Robotics, delivered a presentation titled “Quality Builds the Core, Steadfast Progress Endures,” highlighting the critical role of quality management in the era of intelligent vehicles.
Mr. DONG Baoli, Director of Market Quality & Overseas Projects at UAES, introduced best practices from the company’s overseas quality service projects.
Dr. Dirk Welting, Senior Vice President of the Bosch Group, presented “A New Era of Quality Management,” offering insights into future developments and trends in quality management.
Ms. Corinne Abele, Head of Trade Information at Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) Shanghai, provided a macroeconomic perspective through her presentation, examining both the challenges and opportunities facing China’s automotive industry amid intense market competition and accelerating global expansion.
Focusing on China’s Value Chain and AI Applications to Foster Industry Consensus
A key highlight of this year’s event was the presentation of working group outcomes and the subsequent interactive workshop sessions.
Mr. Daniel Feuker, Head of Quality Production & Function Engineering at Volkswagen Group China Technology Company (VCTC), presented the working group report “Competitive Quality Requirements in China along the Value Chain,” addressing how companies can strengthen quality competitiveness in China’s rapidly evolving automotive market.
Mr. ZHANG Jie, Senior Project Manager of Quality Management at Bosch China, shared the working group report “Leverage AI in Quality Management,” exploring practical applications and future opportunities of artificial intelligence in quality management processes.
Following the presentations, participants engaged in in-depth discussions within two workshop streams: “Competitive Quality Requirements in China along the Value Chain” and “Leverage AI in Quality Management.” Experts from OEMs, suppliers, technology companies, and industry organizations exchanged perspectives, shared practical experiences, and jointly explored new approaches to advancing quality management in the automotive sector.
Looking Ahead
The successful organization of the 2nd QMA China & Partners Meeting further strengthened collaboration between QMA China members and industry partners, while providing an important platform for sharing quality management expertise and best practices between China and Germany.
Looking forward, VDA QMC China will continue working closely with stakeholders across the automotive value chain to promote innovation, capability development, and excellence in quality management, contributing to the sustainable and high-quality development of the automotive industry.
